President Trump and first lady Melania continued their visit to Britain today after attending a beautiful dinner hosted for them by Prime Minister Theresa May last night.
Melania split off from President Trump today to visit with school children and veterans at an event hosted by Philip May, husband of Theresa May.
The first lady talked with the school children about her “Be Best” campaign.
“I want to help children be best in everything that they do, to be best at whatever your passion is, where you’re focused, everything in life, really. And be best with each other, to be kind.”
Melania then made poppy pins with the students and veterans before heading out for a game of bocce ball, or “lawn bowls” as it is called in Britain.
The first lady surprised everyone on her first roll when her ball landed quite close to the target ball. The kids even excitedly ran down to look.
Melania will join President Trump later today where they will be received by Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle for tea before they depart for the next leg of their trip to Scotland.
